Happy Birth Day Emmerson!

Our beautiful granddaughter, Emmerson Grace, was born on June 4, 2012.  She weighed 8 lb 14 oz and was 20 inches long.  She is absolutely perfect!  Her mommy is a pretty tough lady….her babies do not make birth easy and tend to be big!  Brother was 9lb 4 oz!  So proud of she and Colin!  

 Mr. Luke is going to be a wonderful big brother!

Being a wife and mother has always been the absolute greatest blessing in my life but let me just say that being a grandparent is in a category all its own!  When you are the mommy you have to worry about not only the kids but all of the tasks that need to be accomplished.  Being the Mia means sitting and rocking Emme or reading Luke a story (25 times!) is the most important thing I have to do.  Those precious moments when they are nodding off to sleep and you are able to pray over them…that is what is most important.  I have decided that I truly don’t mind aging since I get to do it with my wonderful husband.  If getting older means watching my girls have families of their own, loving on grandbabies and slowing down to focus on those things that have eternal value then this is very good.   

Every good and perfect gift is from the Lord and I never want to take that for granted.
